Sudan: Negotiations Between Sudanese and Russian Ministries of Finance Over Debts

KHARTOUM, Sudan, March 10, 2016 (SNA) — State Minister for Finance and Economic Planning , Dr Abdul-Rahman Dirar revealed that negotiations are being held with Russia over rescheduling its debts to Sudan which are estimated at 19 million dollars.

Turkey readies ‘big investments’ in Ghana

ACCRA, Ghana, March 02, 2016 (B&FT) -- Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has indicated that his country is in a position to strengthen trade ties with Ghana to boost trade volumes to $1billion by the year 2020.

Trade volumes between the two countries currently stands at $400 million and according to the Turkish President.

BRICS Bank African center opens in March

UfaEggJOHANNESBURG, South Africa, February 28, 2016 (TBP) -- The BRICS New Development Bank (NDB) will open its Africa Regional Center in Johannesburg next month, South African Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan said on Wednesday.

The BRICS Bank is looking at local funding solutions, such as tapping financial and capital markets in BRICS nations, NDB President Kundapur Vaman Kamath has said.

Uganda: Russia Hails Museveni Win

KAMPALA, Uganda, February 23, 2016, (The Monitor) — Russia has hailed Uganda's Thursday presidential elections, saying it demonstrated broad support for the NRM-led government.

The Russian Foreign Affairs ministry in a statement yesterday said: "Moscow hails the successful general election in the friendly Uganda, which have proved broad national support for the government's course towards stable political and socio-economic development."
