South Africa and Russia Mark 10 Years of Collaboration in Nuclear Research

PRETORIA, South Africa, Nov 30 2016 (PRESS RELEASE) -- South Africa and Russia will from Monday, 28 November, review their ten-year relationship in nuclear research. The two countries signed a bilateral agreement on joint nuclear research in 2005, which was followed by the signing of a bilateral agreement between the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR).

Nigeria Stops Imports of Wheat From Russia

NAIROBI, Kenya, November 13, 2016 (Daily Nation) -- Nigeria has resolved to stop the importation of wheat from Russia to help save its foreign currency reserves.

The decision was announced following the end of the fourth Joint Commission meeting between Russia and Nigeria in Abuja at the weekend.

Nigeria spent $880 million on wheat imports last year and has already spent $660 million in 2016.
