Gazprom signs 8-year contract to buy all gas from Cameroon's FLNG plant

MOSCOW. November 30, 2015 (Interfax) - Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd (Gazprom M&T), a subsidiary of Russian gas giant Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP), has signed an eight-year contract to buy all 1.2 million tonnes of gas to be produced annually by the Hilli floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) plant off the coast of Cameroon.

MOSCOW. Germany Backs EAC With U.S.$226 Million Grant

ARUSHA, Tanzania, November 30, 2015 (EAB Week) — The Federal Republic of Germany has given the East African Community (EAC) 213 million euro, (about $226,462,000) in grants for the regional integration programmes.

"Integration is not a fair weather project. Germany would not be where it is today without economic cooperation with the rest of Europe. I can say that the 60 years of European cooperation have been a success story," Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the German Foreign Affairs Minister said last week.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, November 15, 2015 (The Reporter) -- They have been engaging in policy dialogue with high level government officials in Ethiopia for the past seven years; more specifically in the area of industrialization.

 

Probably, on their last engagement and consultation with the government, Kenchi and Izumi Ohno (Profs.) are still keen to pitch in policy ideas that are supposed to make Ethiopia become a leader in the light manufacturing sector in Africa. The two Ohnos are confident that Ethiopia can beat the likes of Egypt and South Africa and achieve industrialization even before the 2025 deadline it has set to reach a middle income status.
